私は父に電話をしてありがとうを伝えてみました。少し恥ずかしかったですけど久しぶりに父と話せて楽しかったです。

Last Sunday was Father’s Day. How did you express your appreciation for your father?
In Japan, it is popular to give the gifts with the yellow rose for their fathers. Actually, when I was a child , I also gave gifts with the yellow rose…but now I wonder why yellow roses for their father?
The language of yellow rose(I mean, image of yellow rose) is ‘jealousy’
Father’s Day takes origin from U.S. Mrs. Dot proposed that we should express appreciation not only for our mothers on Mother’s Day but also for our fathers, because Mrs.Dot’s father brought her up instead of her mother.(Her mother had passed away when she was child. )And it became popular to give roses for their father to express appreciation on Father’s Day.
Father’s Day became popular in Japan, too. But ‘Father’s Day Association’ made ‘Father’s Day yellow ribbon campaign’ , and the image of yellow became happiness.
I guess rose and yellow ribbon mixed up in the Japanese image and yellow rose is the popular item on Father’s Day. Hmm‥,I will send yellow rose next year :0
