福岡では夏を告げる山笠が始まっていよいよ夏本番を迎えています☆
山笠のメインイベントの追い山笠は15日の早朝4時59分から行われますが、
私のように早起きが苦手な方は7月12日の15時59分から行われる追い山笠ならし（追い山笠のリハーサル）、7月13日の15時30分集団山見せもあるのでそちらをご覧になられるのはいかがでしょう？福岡の熱気が伝わる夏の風物詩をぜひ一度体感してみてくださいね♪私も今年は見学しに行こうかと計画中です。

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. This is Yang.
We have the star festival in 7th July. The star festival comes from China, but the Japanese’s star festival is a bit different from that of China.
What is the Star festival? It is based on the Chinese classic story. Once upon a time, a young man fell in love with a young beautiful woman. They both worked for God. The young man took care of the cow of God. The young woman made clothes for God. God really loved both of them, because they both worked well, so God allowed them to marry. They are really glad and started to live together・・but they love too much each other to work well before. God was really angry with them and never allow them to live together. They were very sad and started work well for God again, so God allowed them to meet once a year-in 7th July.
In China, the star festival is looked as a 2nd Valentine’s Day・・I mean, some people send flowers and gifts for their lovers.
On the other hands, we do not look it as a 2nd Valentine’s Day or the day for lovers in Japan. Of course, it is romantic, but we have the original custom, we wrote our wish on the paper, and hang it on the bamboo. And if it is sunny in the night of the 7th July, it is said our wish will come true. So how about writing down your wish on a paper and wait for your wish coming true this year? It may really come true:)
