【Ikaruga,Nara】Enjoy matcha in a tea room built in the Edo period!
Please enjoy authentic tea and sweets made by the hermit.
(The tea will be made in another room).
※The tea will not be made in front of you but in another room.
※An Instruction how to have matcha tea and sweets in proper Japanese way is not included in this experience.
※You cannot make your own tea yourself.
※The contents of the experience cannot be changed.
There is also a Japanese garden next to the tea room, where you can enjoy tea while watching the views of various expressions in each season.
Please enjoy Japanese tradition with tea.
*About Taiseian(待清庵)
At the end of the Edo period about 200 years ago, Taiseian was built in Horyuji Temple Zenjuin by Horyuji Temple Monk Kakuken. According to Horyuji's records, Kakuken, who was familiar with the tea ceremony, wrote letters to fellow monks and invited everyone to enjoy tea.
