  The hot spring and the meal were good, but..

  I've been to Japan more than 20 times, but this was my first trip to Gero . I've been to other ryokans several times, but unlike other hotels, this hotel asked me to pay for the accommodation at check-in, so I thought it was a little strange, but I was willing to pay anyway. I was satisfied with the meal and hot spring during my stay at the hotel. The meal was particularly good compared to other ryokans. The problem occurred at the check-out time, the front desk staff asked me for the accommodation fee again. However, I left the receipt in my room,so I couldn't immediately prove that I had already paid  and i told the front desk staff that I had already paid yesterday, but it seemed impossible for them to check it right away. So, I received the key to the room again, went back to the room where I stayed, and after I brought the receipt, I was able to prove that I had paid for the accommodation fee the previous day. I almost paid for the accommodation twice.
