There is a short distance 3 mins walking between hotel and Kokura station with roof. The convenience store is close. I like the bed and it made my family all sleep well. Thanks. The check in time is a little long when crowded but it’s ok around 10-15 mins. Coffee tasted good. The window view is also super. The bathroom is wide and the basin is also nice. The hotel is old style with the color at her time. The room design is attractive. One thing I like is that it has a lot of room to put our clothes. Sweet.

The rooms were clean and the free breakfast was great with new drink machine. Hotel price in Kokura was reasonable and was convenient to take JR. Location was very good and near station.

A combination of vintage & vibrancy
Matsukaneya is a Japanese inn at hot spring(Onsen) resort. 3 kinds of Onsen large bathtubs offered. The welcome, advice and guidance were great. Communication in English is not an issue. It's in a nice part of location with only 5 minute walk to "ZAO SANROKU STATION of Mt. Rainier Gondola & "Yokokura" course of Ski slopes. Even transportation service is available from MATSUKANEYA. The reception area is relaxing, with vintage decoration, a reminiscence of the past. Bathroom toiletries are replaced like tooth brushes, Hair brush, shower cap, towels, and YUKATA(Japanese style bathrobes), as well as the cold water and tea containers. (For female!! Hair dryer is not replaced. Only replaced in the space outside the Onsen bathroom.) Japanese style dinner and breakfast are very delicious and looks beautiful. I had the best time and will definitely be staying here again on my next trip. We met some groups of school kids having their practice in the hall, making the place a lively & vibrant one.
