洞爺から車で１時間の京極町へ。
1985年に環境庁の「名水百選」に選ばれた羊蹄山からのふきだし湧水。「京極の噴き出し湧水」として北海道遺産にも選定されています。
この水はその名の通り、羊蹄山に降った雨や雪が隙間の多い溶岩や火山灰の中に浸み込み、数十年の歳月をかけてろ過・浄化され、ミネラルたっぷりに生まれ変わって湧き出てきたもの。
滝のように流れ出る吹き出し口の横には取水口があり、ボトルを持って汲みにくる人がたくさんいらっしゃいます。

The spring water from Mt.Yotei was selected as one of the "100 Superior Water Selections" in 1985, has been selected as a Hokkaido Heritage Site as "Kyogoku Spouting Water" too. This is water that has been rain and snow soaked in the lava and volcanic ash of Mt.Yotei, filtered over several decades, and reborn and replete with minerals.
There is an intake near the water that overflows like a waterfall, and many people take water by self bottle.

羊蹄山
