The main event of Fukui’s spring festival was held on April 12, 2014.
It is historical pageant. Many people lined up and walked through Fukui city wearing old style armor with Shigeki Hosokawa who played for Shibata Katsuie, Maiko Kawakami for Oichinokata. Many tourists and visitors watched them imagining the real warriors and famous feudal warlord Katsuie Shibata.
Although the flowers of cherry blossoms is falling, spring festival is still going on until 20th of April. For instant, you might be touched by the lighting up the Atagozaka, cherry blossomes at Asuwa river path, and the channel on the site of the Fukui castle.
It just take about 5 to 15 minutes on foot from Hotel Econo Fukuiekimae.
