金刀比羅宮の数ある祭典の中で最も厳粛な祭典の例大祭。
総勢約500名の平安絵巻さながらの神輿行列が御本宮から御旅所までの間、繰り広げられ沿道は数万人の見物客で大変賑わいます。

【Reitaisai in Kotohira】
Kotohira-gu shrine is one of the most visited local attractions of Kagawa.
Through October 9th to 11th, it hosts the most important festival at the shrine called “Reitaisai” that attracts a lot of locals and tourists.
Over 500 people in traditional costume will carry Mikoshi (portable shrine) and parade from the main shrine to otabisho.
