Please let me introduce Our best 　recommendation, Akiu winery in Sendai. Akiu Winery opened in December 2015 is Miyagi Prefecture’s only wine maker . The current products consist of four wines: a red wine with slightly bitter taste (12% alcohol), a slightly sweet rose wine (11.5% alcohol), a bitter cider and a sweet cider both made from apple (both 6% alcohol). They are planning to start producing wine made from their own grapes．
The owner established the winery here as the Akiu Onsen area has good access to central Sendai as well as other areas in Tohoku, and of course has a climate and natural landscape good for growing grapes.
