ハイサイ！

先日、グランティア那覇からほど近いところに位置している観光地「国際通り」へ行ってきました☆☆
国際通りといえば、沖縄イチ有名な場所といっても過言ではないと思いますが、お土産屋さんや美味しそうなお店も沢山あり、個人的に好きなスポットの一つです。

「国際通り」が別名「奇跡の1マイル」と呼ばれる所以は、終戦後、いち早く復興を遂げたことに由来しますが、目抜き通りの長さが1マイルである事からも名づけられています。

その国際通りですが、日曜日の12:00 〜 18:00 は、歩行者天国(トランジットモール)になります。
その間は、車道も歩くことが出来たり、色々なイベントが開催されたりして、いつも以上に賑わいを見せて、楽しさ倍増です☆☆
那覇に訪れる際には、日曜日を狙って行くと、いつもと違う国際通りが楽しめるのでお勧めです。

Haisai! (means Hello in Okinawan language)

On other day, we went to the Kokusai Dori (The international street ) which is located near Grantia Naha.
as you might know, Kokusai Dori is said to be one of the famous spot in Okinawa nowaday. As there are a lot of sourveniur shops and good restaurants in the street, the spot has been already one of my favorites.

By the way, do you know "Kokusai Dori" is known as "the miracle mile" and the reason why?
it is because the street and around the street were the fastest areas to rebuild and recover from the war, and the street is just one-mile long.

This miracle mile will be changing to the transit Mall ( Car Free Zone ) on every sunday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m with a lot of events and during the time, the street will be more lively and even busier than usual, which make you enjoy even more.
So, please stay in Grantia Naha and try to visit there on Sunday to see what is there.
