*Please let us know if you have more than 6 people. We can accommodate up to 10 people.
When you arrive at the dojo, you will watch a demonstration.
Next, you will receive a lecture using materials. You will learn the history and basics of how to make Japanese swords, and actually disassemble a sword to deepen your understanding.
After that, you will change into your training clothes. Samurai used to wear hakama at the time. You will wear the hakama during training. The staff will help you change clothes.
After the lecture, there will be a lesson on Iai.
You will learn sword etiquette, basic handling and swinging of Japanese swords.
In the next lesson on Gekken, you will learn how to use "curve" and "shinogi" using a wooden sword.
After that, you will have a mock match using a Gekken bamboo sword and learn about the distance with your opponent and attack and defense.
To check the blade line, you will cut the target using a mock sword.
There are three types of targets available for archery.
We have targets of different difficulty levels, so you can enjoy it.
