About Ishikawa

Ishikawa Prefecture is known for Mt. Hakusan, Awazu Hot Springs, and Chirihama Nagisa Driveway. It is also famous for Wajima lacquer ware, Kutani ware, and Kagayuzen dye works. The capital city, Kanazawa, was historically a castle town in the fief of Kaga which is renowned for yielding a million koku of rice annually. Stroll through Kenrokuen Garden and the tea house district which was a red-light district in the Edo period, and taste two famous Japanese sweets, Choseiden and Hiroma Manju.
