1.Use the latest version of Google Chrome on your PC.

How to book and Car rentals
1.Search for car rentals.
In this example, the user searches for car rentals in Tokyo.
➀Select a car rental store by the name of the area, the Shinkansen Station or the airport.
➁Select the departure date.
➂Select whether to return the car to the same store or to another.
➃Select the return date.
➄Finally, select the car type and search
The screen will show you plans that match the search criteria.
Click "Show on map" to choose a plan while
browsing the store locations. If your selected store does not offer a plan that suits your needs, change the filtering criteria to search for nearby stores or modify/add car types.
2.Select a plan.
The list of plans shows up sorted by recommendation and can also be sorted by prices, low to high or vice versa.
For stores located in an airport or a station, transportation services from the airport to the store may be available. Refer to the store information for the availability of transportation services.
3.Select options.
When renting a car in Japan, you have the option to purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) in case you get into an accident. We recommend that our customers purchase this insurance coverage for safe travel.
In Japan, drivers are required by law to use a child seat for children under 6 years old. Make sure you select this option if you are riding the vehicle with a child under the age of 6.

- A single car accident may cost you more than the auto repair bill. In addition to repair costs, you may need to compensate for any damaged property as well as for business interruption inflicted on the car rental company since the damaged vehicle cannot be used for a certain period of time. This means that the total cost is likely to swell higher than you would expect. In case of personal injury or death, the settlement amount may be as high as hundreds of millions of yen. Covered by insurance or warranty, you can prepare for such worst case scenarios.
4.Confirm the fee and proceed to booking.
After selecting your options and confirming the fee and other relevant information, click the booking button to proceed to booking. Since Jalan Car rentals requires an account for booking, we recommend you make an account in advance for easy booking.
On the booking screen, enter the information about the driver. If you are taking a flight before or after riding the vehicle, enter the flight number so that the local staff will be able to assist you smoothly.
5.Using a coupon
Jalan Car rentals offers special coupons for all customers. The valid coupons may vary by the time, the area, the car rental company and the rental fee.
If you get coupons, you can use them when booking a car rental. Since you need to log into your account to get a coupon, make sure you make an account in advance. If you see multiple coupons on the screen, you'll want to click "Get togetter!"
On the booking screen, the coupons valid for your booking can be selected. Select coupons and continue booking.
6.Confirm booking.
After you enter all the information, you’ll be directed to the booking confirmation screen. Make sure all the information is correct and complete booking.
Once the booking is complete, you will receive the booking confirmation at the email address you provided. Make sure you save this email since it confirms that your booking is complete. This confirmation email will be helpful in case you forget the name of your rental store or the pick-up time.
7.Go directly to your car rental store.
On the pick-up date, go directly to your store. Arrive there 30 minutes before the departure for instructions and administrative process. Make sure you clearly understand the instructions provided for fueling the vehicle and the return procedure.
You will pay the rental fee at the store. Confirm and pay the rental fee. Acceptable payment methods may vary by store. Contact your store in advance if you are not sure if they accept your credit card or electronic money. Return the vehicle to the store where you picked it up (or the store you selected for returning the vehicle when booking).
