Ryokan are accommodations possessing mainly Japanese-style building facilities. Guest rooms are Japanese-style, and facilities include banquet halls and communal bathing facilities such as open air baths. Depending on your purpose, you can choose from kappo-ryokan (Japanese-style restaurants with attached inns), hot spring inns, and tourist ryokan. While ryokan basically offer accommodations with dinner and breakfast, some have now started offering overnight accommodation without meals. Enjoy the ryokan's composed Japanese atmosphere together with the scenic beauty of the tourist site.
